BlackBerry company has set up a special committee to explore options for the sale of the company, find a strategic partner or form a joint venture.

Blackberry (formerly known as Research in Motion) grew by more than 9 percent. before the start of Tuesday’s session in New York. Later, these sales have been suspended. Investors clearly cheered the news that the company may start looking for the new owner. The company was losing in recent years in the smartphone market with such concerns as Apple and Samsung, but it is still recognized as a company with potential. In the past it was interested in purchasing such Amazon, Microsoft and Nokia.
Committee set up by the BlackBerry is the best alternative for the company. Company depends primarily on obtaining money to enable it to develop a new operating system for smartphones – the BlackBerry 10 – Taking into account the importance and strength of our technology and the changing situation in the industry, it is time to consider strategic alternatives – says Timothy Dattels, Chairman of the Special Committee.
Each prospective purchaserBlackBerry will be carefully watched the Canadian government. It recognizes the company as a “national champion” industries and business important to the national security of Canada.
