Ever since I appeared the first information about the new BlackBerry smartphone it aroused in me an interest-at the end of something that does not have Android and WindowsPhone and continues to be a smartphone. Yesterday there was an opportunity to see the “concertina” for yourself (for those interested: Zetka have some salons Play if anyone was looking for) and I decided to share with you insights about the BB Z10.
Z10
1 Design, set
kit can say that practically standard-telephone, ordinary headphones, charger and adapter for socket English. I had the opportunity to see the box and I have to admit that BB had gotten “concertina” for as long as you do it under the guise of environmental recently AndroidOS manufacturers of smartphones with the WP-box look elegant and it was black.
Headphones as such have not tested ( were originally packed) so do not utter as they play, and one can write: after over two years of associating with the-ear headphones will never return to normal pche?ek, and the manufacturer was added to the Z10-the handset just like to fall out of your ear at least mild pull cable.
If the Z10 performance so far I would say: it’s not bad but if HTC One XperiaZ it is not. However, the performance is quite good, certainly a lot better than what Samsung has in S4. A big plus is the removable battery and easy access to it through the back door-and so for some batte ries do not ever mention but wyci?galna battery is useful for example if we hang smartphone-do not have to press different key combinations in order to “hang up” equipment but simply draw battery. Taking Zetka hand feel that the manufacturer did not put on any old materials. Volume keys (the keys next to the power only Z10!) Are metal.
Performance Z10 model is then w / g me completely acceptable and there is nothing to complain about.
2 System – BB10
Z10 runs on the latest manufacturer-BB10 system. I am impressed with how fast the system in Z10-personally got the impression that the whole work much faster and smoother on top of Android handsets such as SGS4 or XperiaZ. Maybe I’m exaggerating, at the end of these smartphones are more powerful components but on the other hand optimization is also important-and BB is tried here and it’s very-going between the window and the desktop was almost immediately-no smartphone with Android or WP did not show me this liquidity.
Stylistically, it is very well-system looks nice and dumb here, what blew me away.
3 Support one of a kind
header probably already guessed everything but do not anticipate. Z10 is operated quite differently than all the other popular systems. BB first showed something that makes sense and is not a modification of something that is Apple or Google. Z10 does not have the typical keys below the screen and the screen to be more precise, there is no key. The only keys that are, as I mentioned above, power and volume keys between which the manufacturer crammed key to activate voice control (like Speech Recognition in Windows as long as no language is the only Polish-English, German and a few others).
Smartphone operates through gestures. For example, wanting to have something close Swipe your finger across the screen up-to-application or window is then switched on a thumbnail on the desktop, then you can quit. BB Tablet Holders are made to feel at home. As you can see you can make convenient switching between windows even on the small screen, but you want ;)

4 The camera, multimedia and volume
Z10 camera surprised me in three aspects:
1) is a very fast-I have not seen such a speed camera in smartphones
2) BB first smartphone with a camera with a genuine 8Mpx, recording 1080p
3) mute button in camera mode button changes to the camera-I will not conceal the fact that the hardware camera key on the side of the smartphone (not so rare in models of Android) is important to me-to make it more convenient than the screen too, which requires an unnatural pose hand (for me) and it is for me one of the criteria for a smartphone as I changed. Multimedia-watched videos via the browser 3 – 2 on YouTube and one on some site-HD has gone well. Player built not tested but from what I read in reviews that opens a lot of different formats, so you do not need to be immediately replaced by an alternate. The sound from the speaker was of good quality.
Gallery of course “likes” with gestures like the rest of the application, it looks modern and is fast.
When it comes to multimedia speaker volume is very average. In my opinion, a quiet but you have to take into account that the last is the standard. As if in consolation we have HDMI so you can easily hook into decent speakers (of course, jack3.5mm it is, just USB).
5 Screen, touch
If the touch it is not nothing to write special-zero problems, works great.
standard screen is active automatic brightness control-admit that it works much better than the Xperia Z, which also described the blog – there, though the shop was bright screen was dark all the time. Generally play in the living room was not very clear so the screen was dark but enough “highlight” phone light and screen became clear. I checked how it works at full power after turning off the machine-is very clear ;)
screen has a unique size-4.2. “Is it not enough or not is of course a matter of personal. Normally I would have said that too little but for screen size Z10 do not bother me and all in all I could to break and choose 4.2 “though I can not say I dream of a 5.5-6″ D. A great contribution to the perception of the screen size is a great on-screen keyboard that made BlackBerry so relatively small screen (I currently have on your smartphone H ardware QWERTY and I can not say I’m used to in the last less than 1.5 years into it so much that I see the black migration to something without a keyboard. Unfortunately, all manufacturers threw himself into touch forgetting that well done, hardware QWERTY is a million times better than high the onscreen keyboard.) The movie dedicated keys:
6 Buy?
very tough question I asked myself at the end. On one hand, there is every reason for choosing BB Z10: great OS with an interesting approach to control, good camera with a hardware key, access to Android applications without the drawbacks of this system, good performance. But there is also the other side: I currently have 3.7 “smartphone and replace it only 0.5″ bigger?
Little difference in my opinion-if I have to spend about 2000 z? it (I think) I would have preferred something more in order to see the difference between the I have a new one. Although it is tempting Z10 … For now, so I do not really know how to answer this question. And as you see it? write in comments ;)
