Mike Lazaridis and Doug Fregin – who 30 years ago founded the company Research in Motion and guided her through the years – are considering taking over BlackBerry. Currently, jointly have about 8% of its shares, but the information provided by the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission and the Stock Exchange that began efforts to buy the rest of the shares.
The documents published by the Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) that Lazaridis and Fregin signed an agreement, according to which they intend to jointly make efforts to take over all or part of the shares of the BlackBerry.
Potential buyers of a business analyst with Goldman, Sachs & Co.. and Centerview Partners intend to analyze and consider potential strategies to carry out the acquisition and operation of the company after the transaction is completed. Recall: the company Blackberry – then still known as Research In Motion Limited – was established in 1984 for nearly 30 years Mike Lazaridis served as its various executive positions (including a president and CEO) and Doug Fregin held the position of Vice President Chief Operating Officer. In recent years, however, the two parted with the company.
