Lazaridis and Fregin known each other since elementary school. Together they founded the company Research In Motion, which for many years was a leader in the mobile business, well-known manufacturer of BlackBerry smartphones. This year, the current president of Research In Motion announced that the company changed its name to BlackBerry, due to the recognition of its product.
